How our numbers work

Who runs this site

Free Calculator is run by OKC SEO, a search and marketing company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, owned by Chris S Riddle. We work with local service businesses every day, which is where we saw how often homeowners walk into a repair with no idea what it should cost.

Where the cost ranges come from

Each calculator is built from published cost data: pricing surveys, manufacturer and industry sources, and government data where it exists. The sources are listed at the bottom of every calculator, with the date we last checked them. When sources disagree, we show the range rather than pick the number that looks best.

These are planning estimates. Local labor rates, access, permits and what a pro finds once the job is opened up all move the final price. A written quote from a local pro is the real number.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to research cost data, draft explanations and build the calculators. Before a calculator goes live, a separate review tests its math and checks each figure against the source it cites, and we correct pages when we find errors. If you spot one, email chris@okcseo.media.

How the site makes money

The calculators are free, and nothing on the site earns money yet. We plan to add offers to call a local pro or request quotes, and store links on our buying guides, and we may be paid when you use them. That will never change the cost ranges. The full explanation is on our disclosure page.
