How we make money

The calculators on Free Calculator are free to use, and you never need to give us any information to use them.

Today the site earns nothing: there are no ads, no affiliate links and no paid offers on any page.

We plan to add two kinds of offers. Some calculator pages may offer to call a local pro or request quotes. Those calls and requests would go to companies that connect homeowners with service providers, and they would pay us when you use them. Some buying guides may link to stores, and we may earn a commission if you buy through those links. Each offer and paid link will be labeled where it appears, and this page will be updated before the first one goes live. Using an offer is always optional.

What this does not change

• The cost ranges and quote checks are the same whether or not you use an offer.
• We do not raise or lower an estimate to push you toward calling someone.
• We do not sell the answers you type into a calculator. Calculator inputs are worked out in your browser.
